Learn to make the real thing — and bring a young cook with you.
Your young cook will learn how to build the signature smoky flavour that transforms the finished rice — a technique that stays with them long after class.
Together you will learn the perfect rice-to-liquid ratio and the steaming method that delivers perfectly cooked grains every single time.
Discover what makes Nigerian jollof different from Ghanaian, Sierra Leonean and Senegalese jollof — a conversation about West Africa's rich food culture that goes well beyond the kitchen.
Learn how to read ripeness, control the heat and achieve that deep amber caramelisation. A hands-on skill young cooks love to practise.
All ingredients, equipment and aprons will be provided.
Your instructor will guide you both through step-by-step demonstrations before you cook together at your own station.
You and your young cook will work side by side, recreating all four dishes together — a hands-on experience from start to finish.
Once everything is cooked, sit down and enjoy the full plate together, or pack up a box to take home if you prefer.
You will both receive a digital recipe pack after class with everything you need to recreate these dishes at home.
